Job Opportunities with Resident Advisor in Ibiza

As most of you will know, RA is one of the world’s biggest electronic music websites and Ibiza is a mecca for dance music during the summer months. ROLE: 4 month summer internship
This position will encompass many aspects of working for RA, including editorial, advertising, partnerships, sales and ticketing.

Key responsibilities

  • Act as important point of contact for clubs and promoters on the island ensuring all Ibiza related information is up to date
  • Researching information relating to clubs, promoters and parties in Spain and South America
  • Approving event submissions
  • Monitoring and managing new event information to maintain listings
  • Proofreading all updates to ensure they are correct
  • Maintaining artist, label and club profiles
  • Keep the RA site up to date with all new artist, label and club profiles
  • Proofreading all updates to ensure they are correct
  • Liaising with artists, labels and promoters where required to verify information
  • Providing PA support
  • Supporting the Spain & South America manager with daily tasks
  • Managing email and diaries
  • Keeping the office stocked
  • Recording petty cash
  • Managing track and chart database
  • Keep the RA track and chart database up to date
  • Proofreading all updates to ensure they are correct
  • Liaising with artists and labels where required to verify information
  • Providing support to the editorial team (transcriptions, reviews preparation)
  • Assisting with transcribing of editorial from interviews
  • Maintaining digital promo submissions
  • Daily monitoring of submissions
  • Dealing with general site enquires and resolving problems for RA users
  • Assisting the Ibiza office in following up and concluding any questions/issues that may arise from users of RA (Readers, Artists, Labels etc)

Applicants must be committed to living in Ibiza this summer and to arranging their own flights and accommodation.
You’ll be expected to work for between 20-30 hours a week over 5 days from RA’s office in Ibiza. The nature of the work demands a flexible approach.
You must have an appropriate VISA to cover the full stay. Please check this prior to submitting an application.
You must be able to spend at least a week in our London office prior to flying to Ibiza.
Knowledge of and ability to use Spanish would be a distinct advantage.
€300 per month.

ROLE: Permanent (Spain & Latin America Region)
This is an exciting proactive sales role, selling online media for an award winning online magazine. You will also be involved in ensuring the smooth operation of all aspects of business within the Spain & South America region, including seeking to improve the depth of events listings, liaising with venues and promoters on a regular basis, generating prospective ticketing leads and assisting with the regional development of RA across Spain and South America.
A sales background isn’t paramount, but you’ll possess a good understanding of digital media and be able to communicate professionally through both e-mail and phone. You will work alongside internal teams to put together creative and innovative proposals as well as selling standard display media.
Working directly with the regional Head of Operations and closely with the UK-based Sales Team, the opportunity exists to shape the role and influence the direction of new business based on your ideas and initiatives in relatively unchartered territories.

Duties Include:

  • Developing and maintaining advertising revenues from display opportunities
  • Liaising with promoters, venues, labels and selling/negotiating advertising deals with them
  • Managing client relationships/accounts on an on-going basis
  • Organising and attending meetings with clients
  • Achieve monthly and annual financial targets
  • Working with internal teams to develop new partnership opportunities for brands
  • Sourcing, developing and managing events listings for the region
  • Liaising with promoters/venues to build their understanding of RA systems
  • Identifying key promoters/venues within the region for ticketing relationships

  • The position is a FT role, working from our Ibiza Office.
  • Basic salary dependent on experience.
